Papertools is now an app — desktop and mobile

Today Papertools becomes an app you can install — right from your browser, on whatever you're already using. Phone, tablet, laptop, desktop: one Papertools, and it looks and behaves like it belongs there.
There's no download from an app store and no separate mobile app to keep in sync. You install the same Papertools you already use, and it gains a home-screen icon, a full-screen window, and the speed of a native app.
One app, every device
Papertools now installs as a native-feeling app on:
- iPhone & iPad — add it to your home screen from Safari
- Android — install it straight from Chrome
- Mac & Windows — install it from Chrome or Edge and it opens in its own window, dock and taskbar icon and all
It's the same account everywhere, so your work follows you — start an invoice on your laptop, record the payment from your phone on the way home.
Built to feel native, not "a website in a box"
We rebuilt Papertools on mobile so it feels like a real app, not a shrunk-down desktop page:
- A bottom tab bar for one-thumb navigation
- Sheets and menus that slide up from the bottom, the way native apps do
- Headers that stay with you as you scroll
- A built-in PDF viewer, so invoices and receipts open inside the app instead of bouncing you out to another tab
On desktop, the installed app gives you a clean, focused window — no browser tabs, no address bar, just Papertools.
Always the latest version
Because Papertools installs as a Progressive Web App, there's nothing to update. No app-store queue, no "update available" nag — every time you open it you're already on the newest version, with every improvement we ship.
How to install
iPhone or iPad (Safari): tap the Share button, then Add to Home Screen.
Android (Chrome): tap the menu (⋮), then Install app.
Mac or Windows (Chrome or Edge): click the install icon in the address bar, or open the browser menu and choose Install Papertools.
That's it — Papertools lands on your home screen or dock like any other app, and you're ready to go.
