Welcome to the private beta

We're starting small and deliberately. A look at what Papertools is, why we built it, and what to expect as one of the first in.

Papertools is open — to a small group first, and if you're reading this, you're part of it. Thank you for being here this early. It genuinely helps.

We built Papertools for the paperwork side of running a small business: invoices, estimates, bills, expenses, receipts, and the payments that tie them together — in one place that's quick to use and doesn't ask you to think like an accountant.

Where Papertools sits

That corner of the software world isn't empty. But most of what's in it sits at one of two extremes:

  • Full accounting suites — powerful, but heavy, and a steep climb to learn.
  • Single-purpose invoice makers — they produce one nice document, then stop.

We wanted the part in between: something that handles the whole loop — quote, invoice, get paid, record the expense, hand your bookkeeper a clean export — without the weight.

What "private beta" means

We're starting deliberately small.

We'd rather get the details right with a handful of real businesses than rush something half-finished to everyone.

So, a few things to expect:

  • We'll ship often — the product will change week to week.
  • Some edges are still being smoothed.
  • Your feedback carries more weight right now than it ever will again.

The most useful thing you can do

Use it for something real. Send an actual invoice. Import your customers. Get paid through it. Then tell us what got in your way, what you reached for that wasn't there, and what felt right.

We read all of it — it's what shapes the road to our first edition.

Welcome aboard. We're glad you're here.
