Archive or delete a workspace

Put a workspace away without losing it, or delete one for good — both are owner-only, with a safety net.

Account & workspace

When you're done with a workspace — a closed business, an old client — you can either archive it or delete it. Both live under Settings → Danger, and both are owner-only.

Archive: put it away

Archiving hides a workspace from your switcher and makes it read-only, without touching any data. It's the reversible choice — for a business you've paused, or records you want to keep but not have underfoot.

Restore an archived workspace any time from Account → Workspaces.

Delete: remove it for good

Deleting schedules the workspace for permanent removal — but not instantly. You get a 7-day grace window:

  • The workspace is scheduled for deletion, and we email you a few reminders during the window.
  • Changed your mind? Restore it from Account → Workspaces any time in those 7 days.
  • After 7 days it's permanently deleted — that part can't be undone.

Good to know

  • Only an owner can archive or delete a workspace.
  • Want a copy of everything first? Run a data export before you delete (see Export your data).

Archiving pauses billing on that workspace; deleting it ends the subscription.
