Hand a clean export to your accountant

When it's time to hand things to your bookkeeper, Papertools has a purpose-built accountant export — your transactions for a period, packaged as clean CSVs.

Create the export

1. Open Reports → Accountant export.
2. Choose the period — a preset like this quarter or your fiscal year, or a custom date range.
3. Download the ZIP. Inside you'll find a CSV per transaction type — sales, payments, expenses, and so on — plus a short README explaining each file.

What's inside

• Everything is scoped to the period you picked and totalled in your workspace currency.
• Drafts and voided or cancelled documents are excluded, so the numbers tie out cleanly.
• Each file is ready to import into common accounting tools, or to read as-is.

This is different from the full data export (Settings → Danger), a complete copy of everything for backup or portability. Use the accountant export for the books; use the data export to take all your data with you. See Export your data.
