Turn modules on or off
Keep Papertools as simple as you need — switch modules like estimates, bills, and payroll on only when you use them.
Estimates, bills & expenses
Not every business needs every feature. Under Settings → Features, you can switch modules on and off so your workspace shows only what you use.
What you can toggle
Turn modules on or off, including:
- Estimates and Sales receipts
- Bills and Expenses (with Reimbursable under Expenses)
- Projects, Contracts, Payroll, and Automation
The core — invoices, customers, and payments — is always on. That's the spine every business needs.
Switching one off hides it — it doesn't delete
Turning a module off removes its section from your navigation but keeps any data you've entered safe. Switch it back on and everything's exactly where you left it.
Sections that appear on their own
A few areas turn on automatically based on what you use:
- Vendors appears when Bills or Expenses is on.
- Staff appears when Payroll is on.
Start minimal and add modules as you grow. Switching one off is completely reversible, so there's no risk in trying something on for size.
