Update your payment method
Change the card your workspace pays with, any time — from Settings → Billing.

The card your workspace pays with lives under Settings → Billing, and you can update it whenever you need — a new card, an expiring one, or a switch to a different account.
Update your card
- Open Settings → Billing and find the Payment method section.
- Choose to update it.
- Enter your new card details and save.
Your next charge uses the new card automatically. This only applies to paid plans — the free Essential plan has nothing to pay, so there's no card to keep on file.
Good to know
- Any owner can update the payment method — it's tied to the workspace, not to one person, so billing keeps working even if someone leaves.
- Card details are handled securely by Stripe, our payment processor — Papertools never stores your full card number.
Payment failing? Update the card here and any past-due charge is retried automatically. See Manage or change your subscription for the rest of billing.
