Update your payment method

The card your workspace pays with lives under Settings → Billing, and you can update it whenever you need — a new card, an expiring one, or a switch to a different account.

Update your card

1. Open Settings → Billing and find the Payment method section.
2. Choose to update it.
3. Enter your new card details and save.

Your next charge uses the new card automatically. This only applies to paid plans — the free Essential plan has nothing to pay, so there's no card to keep on file.

Good to know

• Any owner can update the payment method — it's tied to the workspace, not to one person, so billing keeps working even if someone leaves.
• Card details are handled securely by Stripe, our payment processor — Papertools never stores your full card number.

Payment failing? Update the card here and any past-due charge is retried automatically. See Manage or change your subscription for the rest of billing.
