Snap a receipt, drop a statement — Claude reads it in

Photograph a receipt or drop in a PDF bank statement — Claude turns paper into rows and pre-filled forms, checked before anything saves.

UpdateSeptember 7, 2026 · Papertools Team

The pile of paper on your desk can now walk into Papertools by itself — almost.

Snap it

Photograph a receipt or a supplier's invoice — or pick one from your gallery — and Claude reads it into a pre-filled form: payee, date, amounts, tax, even the matching catalog item when it's an exact match (never a guess). You review, you save. The paper stays attached, so you can always look at what you trusted.

Drop it

Drop a PDF bank statement and it becomes transaction rows, the same rows a CSV import would give you. Every statement is verified by a running-balance check — each line has to agree with the balance printed next to it, or the import tells you exactly where the paper stopped adding up.

Match it

Imported lines match to your documents with one tap, sure things confirm in a single click, and Papertools remembers what lines like this became last time — the more you match, the less you match.

Reading paper is part of the paid plans. CSV import stays free on every plan, always.

Nothing here saves without you. The camera fills forms; you still press the button.
